Bang Bang Cauliflower | Crispy Sweet & Spicy Bites
Crispy battered cauliflower florets tossed in a sweet, spicy, and tangy Bang Bang sauce. This addictive appetizer is better than any restaurant version — and it's baked, not fried!
Ingredients
- 1 large head cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
These Bang Bang Cauliflower bites are so addictive, you won't believe they're baked! Crispy, sweet, spicy — the perfect appetizer or snack.
Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut cauliflower into bite-sized florets.
Mix flour, water, garlic powder, and paprika into a smooth batter. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, letting excess drip off.
Place battered cauliflower on the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
Make the Bang Bang sauce: whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar until smooth.
Toss the crispy cauliflower in the Bang Bang sauce. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately!
These are gone in minutes at any gathering! For a vegan version, use vegan mayo. Double the sauce — you'll want extra for dipping!
